- livestock are receiving greater government attention e.g. livestock health services at kebele level are being strengthened: 1 million ETB has been allocation to each woreda to establish livestock health centres and drug provision. - There is also a new focus on improving breed quality through oestrus synchronization and mass insemination. - Very important to link forage production with high value animals. It is a good approach to first establish forages and then introduced cross-bred animals. - Strong pressure on land can limit the area devoted to forage and such pressure is increasing. Any intervention strategy needs to take account of changing pressures in livestock systems - In FEAST results, different communities ranked their problems differently - why was this?
